Covenant Music Instruments, Limited is a Chinese instrument brand founded in 2012 and headquartered in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. It began as a small workshop focused on designing and producing acoustic guitars, then grew into a modern company that now offers various stringed instruments including guitars and ukuleles.

Timeline & Development

2011 – Workshop beginnings

Before Covenant officially existed, the founder and team developed prototypes and experimented with guitar design under a studio setup, refining ideas and building early instruments.

2012–2014 – Early growth

Covenant introduced its first acoustic guitar lines at events like Music China and worked to improve production processes and technology, including proprietary methods like their HCP workflow and X-Structure design for better sound.

Late 2010s – Global reach

Covenant started entering international markets, introducing more products and upgrading its visual brand identity (including headstock design and logos), as well as expanding into ukuleles and other instruments.

2012 – Brand established

Covenant Music Instruments Co., Limited was formally founded, with the COVENANT brand name chosen to represent a “sacred agreement” between the makers and musicians — emphasizing quality and commitment to players.

Mid-2010s – Expansion

The brand expanded its offerings and began gaining recognition from artists and enthusiasts, refining its acoustic guitar technologies and building its reputation in both domestic and international markets.
